Type AB Platelets NEEDED!
The Armed Services Blood Program needs your help here at the Pentagon.
There is an URGENT need for type AB platelet donors. There is a young
patient at Walter Reed Army Medical Center that is in need of your donation
today.
If you know you can donate please call us here at 703 693-4879 RM 2 - D -
158 across from the dry cleaners on the main concourse. Our hours of
operation are from 8:30AM til 1:30PM, stop by for a screening or for an
appointment. We expect this need to be in effect at least for the next 4
weeks for the patient care.
Here are the basics:
2 1/2 hr appointment time needed to do the collection
NO aspirin products for 72 hrs
Be in good health and at least 117lbs weight
Active duty, Guard and Reserve, family members, DoD Civilians and
contractors.
ALL deferrals will have to be in place. Call for a screening.
Appointment times are 8:30AM and 11:30AM up til 12:30PM.
